EXCURSION ITINERARY:

1. Pick up at the Hotel

We will meet at 5:00 am at the entrance of the Row NYC hotel located at 700 8th Avenue between 44th and 45th streets to begin our tour of Washington and Philadelphia, two cities in one day.

2. Stop for breakfast

Since we will be getting up very early, we will make a rest stop in the state of Delaware to have breakfast and stretch our legs before arriving in Washington.

3. Pentagon

Before entering the city we will pass by the headquarters of the United States Department of Defense, located in the state of Virginia and home to approximately 26,000 military and civilian employees, in a 12-story building shaped like the Pentagon and built during World War II, currently the largest office building in the world and one of the targets of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

4. Monument to the Marines (IWO JIMA)

Military monument dedicated to all the United States Marines who died defending this country since 1775, its design was based on the iconic photograph "Raising the flag on Iwo Jima" taken by photographer Joe Rosenthal during World War II. From the bus you can see Arlington National Cemetery, one of the largest military cemeteries in the world. We will get off to take pictures.

5. Memorial Park in Washington

We will arrive at Memorial Park and walk with our guide through the places that have been the setting for films and series: the Korean War Memorial, the Lincoln Memorial, and the Vietnam War Memorial.

We will continue along the Reflecting Pool, made famous by the movie Forrest Gump, until we reach the most visited monuments such as the “World War II” and the Washington Obelisk, the tallest structure in the city.

6. The White House and the Capitol

We will continue through the OAS, the American Red Cross, the Vice Presidency, the Treasury Department and along the White House gardens where we will have time to take photographs.

We will go along the main avenue of Washington, which is Pennsylvania Avenue, where the incoming president makes his tour every 4 years after giving his inaugural address from the Capitol to the White House. We will also find several buildings such as the Treasury, the Department of Justice, the FBI, the National Archives, the National Gallery, and the National History Museum. When we arrive at the Capitol, we will get off the bus to take pictures.

7. Departure to Philadelphia

We left Washington bound for Philadelphia, a journey that takes approximately three hours plus a stop along the way for lunch.

8. Philadelphia

When we arrive in Philadelphia, we take a tour of the city's most emblematic places.

We will begin by walking along the oldest street in the country, then visit the house where the first US flag was designed, continue our tour passing by Christ Church Cemetery where the grave of one of the founding fathers of the American nation, Benjamin Franklin, is located until we reach the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall (where the founding fathers created and signed the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution), and the President's House Site.

9. Enjoying the city

Here you will find the Declaration House, the oldest street in the United States, the house of Betsy Ross, the woman who designed the American flag. You will be able to see a Masonic Center, the JFK Park or better known as the Love Park for the work of Robert Indiana "LOVE" we will walk along the street of flags, and we will make a stop at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Where one of the most famous scenes in cinema is located, the stairs where the movie Rocky was filmed. Without a doubt one of the most visited places in the city and where we can take photos with the statuette of Rocky, also climb the steps where he trained.

On the Washington and Philadelphia Tour from New York we will walk through the cities, so we recommend comfortable shoes and if you come in hot weather, bring water and food.
